I went to a supermarket yesterday to buy some goodies for our starving fridge. One busy post-pay day at the grocery store. While I was pushing my cart, the scent of alluring food being fried halted my feet to move on to the next aisle and instead went to the source of the temptation. Nanaman?! Another product sampling kiosk at the grocery store, and this time they are in multitudes! More choices!
And so I went to the kiosk with the desire to take a sample of their product. To my dismyay, the crowd got there first and took my elixir away! One of the things why I don’t like going to the supermarket every post pay day. The crowd.
While the product promoter is tirelesly well, promote the again, product. People just take a sample and go. I don’t know how many of her allured customers bought the product but it seems that whenever there’s free tasting, everyone is caught into its mysticism.
I wonder why we Filipinos like having free treats?
Sure, no problem Dan. I’ll email you now.

Hi, I am from http://dan.i.ph. (Haven’t updated my blog in months, been very busy. :-S). Nice blog you have here. I’ve always wanted to check out Southern Philippines but never had a chance.
I am currently a contributor to Smile (Cebu Pacific’s in-flight magazine). I was wondering if you’d like to be featured in the “Local Life” section?
I am looking for locals in the following destinations:
Bacolod
Bangkok
Butuan
Cagayan de Oro
Cotabato
General Santos
Hanoi
Iloilo
Jakarta
KL
Macau
Roxas
Seoul
Pusan
Shanghai
Tacloban
Tagbilaran
Taipei
Xiamen
Basically I’ll be asking a set of fun, light-hearted questions and all you have to do is answer them! The questions are mostly about what is there to do in the area, describe your best night out, what’s the unusual thing about your city etc.
If you’re interested, please email me!
